Educator + Mentor at Dream Formula Education
General Description:
As an educator and a mentor at Dream Formula Education, you will be teaching private lessons and small-group lessons at students’ homes or online. Educators may also teach after-school programs at our partnering local schools.
Responsibilities to Students:
leading one-on-one private tutoring sessions or mixed-age classes with a 2:1 to 15:1 student-teacher ratios at students’ homes, local schools, or online
co-designing curricula that contain project-based learning activities and whole-child approach
designing personalized learning activities based on each student’s abilities, needs, talents, interests and learning styles
posting learning materials online after each class
helping students design, execute, and adjust an education plan, a career plan, and a life habit plan
Responsibilities to Parents:
maintaining regular communication with parents, answering their questions and discussing students’ learning (in person or online)
generating weekly reports, mid-semester reports, and end-semester reports and sharing them with parents
Responsibilities to Fellow Educators:
contributing in our educator community at least once every two weeks by sharing your teaching experiences and reviews on education-related books, articles, research paper, and so on
participating in online weekly training and evaluations

understanding the current education problems (problems with public education systems, problems with education 1.0 model, etc);

holding 1-1 online sessions with Chinese students over the weekend
build rapport and trust with students
practicing speaking English with students, correcting their grammatical mistakes and asking them to take notes
listening to students reporting their weekly learning outcomes
answering students’ questions related to English and American culture
listening to students’ problems and obstacles in life and provide students with appropriate advice on overcoming those obstacles
helping students build positive characteristics by influencing them with your positive traits in everyday life and education
helping students execute and adjust their education plans, career plans, and life habit plans
